[[..setting:organisations|Click here to go back to the Organisations page.]]\\ ====== Feralists ====== The Feralists care about this world. They consist of people who have seen the impact humanity has had on this planet, and have come to understand why becoming like humans must be avoided. To the Feralists, all humanity’s efforts to urbanise have done is take space from their fellow living beings (even if they weren’t yet sapient) to create urbanised wastelands, where no plants can grow, and no animals can survive on their own. They believe that humanity created spaces hostile to the forms of life that humans didn’t favour. As such, Feralists oppose efforts by the Kingdoms to rebuild any form of civilisation. More recently, Feralists have been pushing to 'dehumanise' the planet. There are operations done by Feralists to try and undo some of the harm done to the environment by the former dominant species. This can involve rewilding projects where human structures are razed to allow the area to return to its natural state, creating more space where all the non-human biota can comfortably inhabit; the loss of remnants of humanity is generally seen as as irrelevant side effect by most Feralists. Humanity could be remembered or forgotten, as long as nature has space to thrive. Feralists are also encouraging people who are members of domesticated species to learn about humanity's influence on their species. ==== Misanthropists: The Radical Few ==== While the idea of dehumanisation is generally agreed upon by all Feralists, there exists a small but notorious group of Feralists that are intolerant to any trace of humanity. This group of Feralists was mocked by others as **the Misanthropists**, and they aim to prevent the return of human civilisation and technologies. The Misanthropists are well-known for their sabotage and attacks which tend to target ruins and artefacts from the era of Humanity. Rumour has it that these Misanthropists used to be [[..:setting:hominism|Hominists]] until they were excommunicated and casted out. Reasons for their dismissal range from the group being radicalised by anti-human propaganda radio transmissions to the group rediscovering records pertaining to the fall of Humanity. ===== In the Fourth Place ===== The Feralists group within the Fourth Place would rather not be there, but due to the scarcity in the surrounding region it's not easy to leave; the Fourth Place provides too much safety to ignore. While they don't currently think that the Fourth Place is a civilisation, some of them fear that it could go in that direction, seeing as some people are trying to push it in that way. There's a belief among Feralists that the Fourth Place is the reason why there's nothing else in the area; humans may have funnelled all the region's resources into it. The breaking of the umbilical has given them an opportunity to investigate the source of the park's surplus. As for the Misanthropists, they are rumoured to have infiltrated several groups, including the Feralists, that have arrived in the Fourth Place. However, the group remains undercover and is refraining from its usual anti-human sabotages. ==== NPCs ==== ^NPC^Pronouns^Kingdom^Description^Physrep^ |Lucia|she/they|Smarties (Sheep)|A Feralist organiser.
