Hominism
When the idea of humanity falls so far into history, there is the ever-persistent effort to reconstruct using what remains. The great buildings, landscapes, and feats of humans are present across the world, and it was only natural that many turned to worship the long-dead humanity like proud ancestors. Giving them generic names like the 'Gardeners’ or the ‘Engineers’, they controlled all facets of sapience and hominism aims to revere these gifts.
Hominists are made up of many different Kingdoms and peoples who believe in one great fact: humans made them, shaped them, and deserve due payment for this. Their culture centres around pilgrimage towards all places of human activity, paying respect through prayers and offerings, possibly in hopes that the spirits of humanity may bless them with fortune. Staying in ex-settlements permanently is never a thought, for it is seen as sacrosanct to use human ruins in fear of destroying them further. Hominists may not always appear or act in a certain way, but they often wear human-like clothing or ancient artefacts to feel closer to their ‘ancestors’.
In the Fourth Place
Hominists have been pilgriming to the Fourth Place for many decades, despite the difficulty getting there. They see the Fourth Place as the epitome of Human kindness towards the Kingdoms, and the devotion they had even by the point of their extinction. They seek to give offerings to the Humans that once built the park in certain ‘biomass and spare part deposits’, that reward their effort with sustenance enough to keep on going.
Within the Fourth Place, a small enclave of Hominists have made a temporary home. They are against permanent settlement within the park, and even more against tampering with machinery or buildings untouched for centuries, in order to preserve its original magnitude. With the recent breaking of the park's umbilical, they are partially divided between restoring it or attempting to prevent further damage through exploration.
