Shay arrived in the Fourth Place a few weeks ago. A little shy and jumpy, but generally ready to help, she doesn't seem to subscribe to any philosophy that you have heard of, though has been known to listen quietly and intently to debates between organisations. She arrived carrying a large bag with her, which she seems to guard quite closely. Still, she's a keen and capable hunter who seems more than happy to share resources with those around her.

Shay resembles a Barn Owl, physically larger than a normal Barn Owl but also rather slight by avian Smartie standards. Her claws serve as her hands and have developed an equivalent of opposable thumbs, while her wings are far more flexible than those of a nonsapient bird. She wears what seem to be quite practical if not exactly humanlike garments, sometimes simple plain “jumpers” for warmth, sometimes small “satchels” to carry important items.
